Usually upma is a predominant breakfast in south India and is prepared with rava/sooji/cream of wheat/semolina also with wheat rava(coarse grain of rava) and Rice rava(coarse grain of rice) .Sometimes bread  or sabudana is used in upma preparation.

Khara bath is made with the same rava and is a cousin of rava kichadi. In khara bath there is a special spice powder added to make the upma extra delicious and different .With the hint of ghee and fresh ground masala and with coconut, this is the best breakfast/brunch any one would ever have.
You can add vegetables of your choice while making.I prefer carrot, peas, beans .You can also add potato or bell pepper ,if you like their taste.List of items in the ingredients list seems to be very long, but believe me its a simple recipe with the ingredients in your pantry.
Got inspired from chitra but tried the original recipe.
